How to print L7651 labels
- Choose A4 (210 × 297 mm) paper and print at 100% / "Actual size". "Fit to page" shrinks the page and moves every label.
- Use the manual or bypass tray if your printer has one, and load one sheet at a time.
- Check the pack says your printer type: laser labels in a laser printer, inkjet labels in an inkjet.
- Print a test on plain paper first and hold it over a label sheet against a window.
- If everything is shifted the same way, use the printer alignment adjustment to correct it.
- Run the plain-paper test with "Print label outlines" on before you use a sheet: these labels are only 21.2 mm tall, so a 1 mm shift is 5% of the label and easy to see.
Still slightly off? Use the printer alignment test to correct it once for your printer.
If something prints wrong

L7651 template questions
How much text fits on a 38.1 × 21.2 mm label?
Three lines of about 15 characters at the default 12 pt. Longer text is set smaller label by label: a four-line return address such as “Margaret Johnson, 27 Kingsley Road, Bristol, BS8 1TH” prints at 10 pt, and up to six short lines fit at 6 pt.
Can I number the labels, for stock or storage boxes?
Yes. Click "Add a number", or type {#} where the number should go, and every label gets its own: 1 to 65 on the first sheet, 66 to 130 on the next. You can start from any number and pad it with zeros, such as 001.
Is J8651 the same sheet as L7651?
Yes, for inkjet printers. L7651 is made for laser printers and J8651 for inkjet ones; both have 65 labels of 38.1 × 21.2 mm in the same positions, so this template prints on either.
Using US Letter sheets instead? The closest one is 5195 — 60 per sheet, 2/3" × 1-3/4".
