Privacy policy

The short version: the list you paste or upload is read by your own browser and is never sent to this site or anyone else. There are no accounts, and nothing you type here is stored on a server.
Your label data
When you type a list, paste cells, or upload a spreadsheet, that data is handled entirely by JavaScript running on your own computer. The file is read in the browser, the preview is drawn in the browser, and the PDF, Word and CSV files you download are built in the browser.
There is no upload, so List to Labels never receives your list, cannot store it, cannot read it and cannot share it. You can verify this: load the page, disconnect from the internet, then upload a file and download the finished PDF. It works offline because it never needed the network.
Nothing you enter is kept after you close or reload the page.
What is stored in your browser
One thing: if you save a printer alignment correction, it is written to your browser's local storage so your next download is adjusted for your printer. It holds two numbers: a horizontal and a vertical offset. It is not a cookie, it is not sent anywhere, and it stays on that one browser.
Clearing your browser's site data for this site removes it.
Server logs
The site is static and is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical information your browser sends with each request — IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser's user-agent string — to deliver pages and to protect against attacks and abuse. List to Labels does not use those logs to build a profile of you, and does not link them to anything you type into the tools.
Analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are useful. It sets no cookies, does not use local storage, and does not follow you across other sites. It reports totals such as page views, referring sites, countries and browsers, not individuals. Nothing you type or upload into the tools is sent to it. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Advertising and cookies
There are no ads on this site yet and it sets no advertising cookies. In fact it sets no cookies at all.
The plan is to show ads eventually, so the tools can stay free with no account and no limits. Before that happens this page will be updated to name the ad vendors and the cookies they use, and visitors in the UK and EEA will be asked for consent first. Whatever happens on that front, ad code has no access to the list you are working on — that data never leaves your browser.
If you write to hello@listtolabels.com, your message and address are kept in that mailbox so the conversation can be answered and referred back to. They are not added to a mailing list and not passed to anyone else. Ask and the thread will be deleted.
Children
This is a general-audience printing tool and is not directed at children under 13. No account is required and no personal information is knowingly collected from anyone.
Your rights
Data protection law, including the GDPR and the CCPA, gives you rights to see, correct and delete personal data a site holds about you. In practice there is very little to exercise them against here: there are no accounts, no stored lists and no profiles, and your label data is never received in the first place.
Your personal data is never sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. For anything else — including a question about what a host or ad vendor holds — email hello@listtolabels.com and it will be answered.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes, such as ads or analytics being switched on, will be described here rather than quietly folded in.
