How to print 5167 labels
- Choose Letter (8.5 × 11 in) paper and print at 100% / "Actual size". "Fit to page" shrinks the page and moves every label.
- Use the manual or bypass tray if your printer has one, and load one sheet at a time.
- Check the pack says your printer type: laser labels in a laser printer, inkjet labels in an inkjet.
- Print a test on plain paper first and hold it over a label sheet against a window.
- If everything is shifted the same way, use the printer alignment adjustment to correct it.
- Run the plain-paper test with "Print label outlines" on before you use a sheet: these labels are only 12.7 mm tall, so a 1 mm shift is 8% of the label and easy to see.
Still slightly off? Use the printer alignment test to correct it once for your printer.
If something prints wrong

5167 template questions
How much fits on a 1/2" × 1-3/4" label?
The label is only half an inch tall, so two lines fit at the default 9 pt, about 25 characters each. A usual three-line return address, such as “Margaret Johnson, 1234 Maple Avenue, Springfield, IL 62704”, is set at 7.5 pt so that it fits. Four lines do not fit even at 6 pt, so keep it to three.
Can I fill all 80 labels with my return address?
Yes. Choose "The same text on every label", type the address once, and all 80 labels are filled. Lower "Number of labels" to print part of a sheet, and use "Start at label" to carry on where a used sheet left off.
Can I make the text bigger on 5167 labels?
A little. Pick a size above the preview and every label shows the result straight away. Two short lines fit at up to 11.5 pt and a single short word at up to 23.5 pt, but three lines stay at 7.5 pt because the label is so small. "Largest that fits" makes each label's text as big as it can be.
